Replacing the gas

What is the best way to empty the fuel tank on a 4 cycle lawn mower? Is there a drain valve or do you just turn the whole thing upside down? What do you do with the old gas?

Yes, just turn the tank upside down and drain all the gas out. The most environmentaly friendly way to despose the gas is to take it to a place that accepts petroleum products and has it disposed of properly. I know my local car lube/oil change place accepts old oil/gas.

Or like on my rider and snow blower I just pull the hose from the tank to carb off at the carb and stick the end into a bottle to catch the gas as it comes out. Make sure you take the cap off the tank though. Makes it empty faster.
