Brake pads
On these small lawn tractors, are both brake pads the same thickness or is the outside pad approximately 2/3 the thickness of the inside pad. What is a good rule of thumb for the initial adjustment?

Hello Jack B.!
Generally, both pads are the same size and thickness on most tractor mowers. Usually, you can tighten the adjuster nut while watching the space between the pads and the rotor until there is almost no gap. Try it and fine tune from there.
