tanaka weedeater

I have a tanaka weedeater tbc-215 model number c157131 my question is what is the high side setting on it?? it runs ok if i get it idle good it doesn't run well if i get it to run well it won't idle it may be the carb. ................need help THANKS

Hello Sniper!

Sounds like you need a carb cleaning and possibly a carb kit. Generally, you can get a base setting by turning both screws in until they lightly bottom out, then back out the low screw 1 to 1.5 turns, and the high screw out 2 to 2.5 turns.

thanks for the help i have cleaned the carb out but didn't know the settings for the screws but it's still a posabilty it needs a rebuild it is a walbro carb. is that still the basic settings for the screws low 1- 1.5 and the high 2- 2.5 from lighty seated?...................thanks for the help.
