homelite chain saw

i have a homelite chains saw super 2 . in the oil tank there is a check valve that connects to the oil line and a vent fitting that connects to that (duck bill) my question is the check valve is in the shape of a T when you install the check valve on the oil line should the middle part of theT face down in the tank or point foward toward the bar?

Hello ripperdog!

I can't say off the top of my head. I'll look in the shop and see if I have a super2. If I do, I'll let you know how it goes.
