Oil Change

When is the best time to change the oil in my lawn mower - when I'm ready to put it away for the Winter or when I get it back out in the Spring.

I would say to change it before you park it for the winter. That way you won't have this years crud settling in the bottom of the engine......Mike

Hello lee.wallace!

Good question...and I agree with Mike. Drain the fuel system too, and if it a rider, make sure the tires are full. (low tires cause more dry-rot cracks when sitting in one spot for a length of time). Disconnect the battery too (if equipped).
