re: Ariens belt replacement tips update

Hello All Friends of Snow:

Sorry for not updating sooner but the holidays have kept me busy--as did removing the impeller shaft hub to accomplish bearing replacement.

What a job! I was not able to do it alone and had to enlist help from a friend. After heating with an oxy-acentylene rig, using a large puller, lump hammer and another strong friend we finally got it off.

Took us an hour today but all is well now. I have my digital cam back and am going to replace the bearing, pulley and belts tomorrow and document it here. Will also do pics of the drive mechanism--which as far as I know is the same on all older Ariens blowers.

It may take me a few days to post the tutorial as I want it to be explicit and detailed and might have to do color correction etc on the pics.

Look for it on Jan 2nd or 3rd.

Cheerio,

I look forward to your tutorial on the work you did on your Ariens.
I own a 6 hp Ariens and I just finished rebuilding the motor on my 3 1/2 Ariens. Man I like those machines.
