Depends on whats wrong with motor.
If rod is broken, then the best bet would be to get a new short block and switch external parts to it.

Hello chipc!

If the blower is in good enough shape to warrant installing a new shortblock, then it would be worth it. If the blower is worn out and falling apart, then probably not. There should be a plate on the side of the engine with the spec#.

The model, type and serial number can also be located on the to of the starter housing. It is usually stamped into it. It may start with something like "HM70 XXXXXX " then the serial number.
