toro 421 snow thrower will not start
I have a 10-15 year old Toro 421 snow thrower. It has always taken a couple of tries to start it every year. After that it always starts first time.
This year I noticed when I primed it, there does not seem to be any pressure and I can't smell gas.
I am getting a spark. I've tried starting fluid, and it only starts until the starting fluid burns up. I pulled the gas line going to the carb, to make sure there is gas going tim the carb. I pulled the air cover and the carb off and made sure all parts move freely.
Still will not start.
Does this mean the carb needs to be rebuilt?
Thanks

You could have a crack in the rubber priming bulb and it's sucking air. Is this the first time you've run the blower this season? Is the gas in there left over from last year? If the float bowl is filled with the old gas from last season it will be difficult to start. You may have a stuck float in the carb float bowl that won't allow new gas from filling the bowl.

Hello task.b!
I think you have carburetor problems, especially if it has been setting up with the old gas in it for a long time. A good cleaning may get you going. If not, you may need a rebuild kit.
