mulching and shredding advice

Could anyone provide me with advise regarding mulching palm fronds and palm berry pods. I live in the tropics and have an ongoing problem trying to dispose of them. Any one???
Cheers

Hello: Drew

Palm fronds can be a huge problem for homeowner types of shredders and most small chippers. Big commerical shredders units have no real problems with them.

Design of the machines makes it that way plus the horsepower the towable machines have. Yet they too loss RPM's under heavy loads of these type of branches, etc.

The question is what are the others in your area doing with them? Knowing that will provide the answers. They may not be shredding them as a result of not having machinery to do so, etc.

Some locals accept yard waste. They mulch the stuff and resell it back to the communities for small profits to offset trash collection fees, etc.

May be worth inquiring about in your area. Unless that is the problem in your area. No yardwaste collection.
