plastic flywheel

I removed the cover from my 4hp Tecumseh engine and noticed that it had a plastic ring which I hope is just an attachment to the flywheel because many of the fins have broken off.

Can it be replaced? Where might I find one. I have the model/serial numbers.

Thanks for any help.

It's pretty common for the cooling fan blades to be plastic and bolted to an aluminum or iron flywheel. To find parts just do a Google search for Tecumseh parts.

If you have a small motor aka lawn mower/snowblower dealer nearby, just take the model, type, and serial number off the starter housing from your motor and tell him you need another cooling fan. You shouldn't have a problem getting one.
