Does anyone have a cross ref. number for a 16hp briggs vangaurd engine air cleaner

You need to be more specific. Single or twin cylinder? Air cleaner or air filter? Best to provide a model and type numbers (engine)! Do that and I'll come up with the part numbers you need.

for Puey61: that air filters factory number is 394018 it's for a 16hp briggs vanguard twin cylinder simplicity lawn tractor

I hope I didn't offend you somehow. I really would like to help you out. I'm just not clear on what you mean by a cross reference number. Are you looking for aftermarket part #'s for the filters? Or any other parts for that matter? These I could provide as well.

aftermarket #'s

Here is a list of aftermarket part numbers for the following items:
Air filter: OEM- 394018, Oregon- 30-101, Stens- 100-131
Pre-filter: OEM- 272490, Oregon- 30-001, Stens- 100-743
Oil filter: OEM- 492932, Oregon- 83-013, Stens- 120-485
Let me say that I suggest you use OEM parts whenever possible, they are better quality. I understand that you may not have anyone locally to provide such, but if so, use these. Anything else, we're just a click away!
