getting lawn mower ready

Other than sharpening the blade, what else can I/should I do to get my mower ready for this mowing season?

Hello: afeeser

Change the oil, check the air filter or replace it. Remove and clean the spark plug. Clean the air cooling fins, if need be. Light touch of oil, if needed on the throttle lever control nearest the handle bar and at other like or similar pivot points.

There is also a newly created thread within this forum topic on the subject. It's a forum note. New version of the sticky note...

I was just going to direct you to that forum thread. Thanks Tom for your help. Indead, do all of the things that are listed in that thread. I think that Cheese did a good job covering all the bases. Let us know how it goes.
