John Deere Junk

Need help figuring out what is wrong this time. Nothing runs
like a deere if you can keep them running.

1999 GT 235 18 hr v-twin 181 hours. Seems to be sucking
oil into carb and will hardly run. Any ideas on this?

Something always wrong every time you need it.

Thanks for any help I can get.

Next mower will be Snapper or EXMark

Hello chevyred55!

What engine do you have? Could be a restricted air filter, bad pcv valve, rings, oil level too full, oil thinned with gas, etc...

Post engine info and check the oil level.

Any engine ID #'s yet? Based on the model of the tractor, you will have either a twin Briggs Vanguard or a single Kawasaki. Since you mentioned it was a twin, then the engine must be a Briggs. Being an authorized Briggs dealer, there are no known service issues with what you are experiencing, that I am aware of. Using cheese's advice, check these areas. Furthermore, ideally you should perform a leak-down test on each cylinder as well as a vacuum test on the crankcase if all of cheese's hints got you nowhere. The first thing that came to my mind was over-filled oil. How is the oil level?
