Transmition grease

Hello Cheese, Sharp Advice, Puey61...

I want to put grease in my transmition. Never had to do it before with a lawntractor, but I noticed it is dry in there. What is the type of grease that needs to be inserted in a gear drive transmition and can I get this grease at a autmotive parts store? Thanks...

Terminator20:

You know the first thing we will need is a model number of the tractor or transaxle.

"00" grease should work fine in that little transmission.
