B&S Engine

I need a rebuild kit for the carb and noone seems to know what engine I have. Here is the number stamp on the engine. Engine is a twin 16HP on a Simplicity 6216.

402 07 0130 01 82042112

I refered to the B&S website for the style engine and found the location of the number. The guys at the small engine shop couldn't figure out what this number was...

Any help is appreciated...

South, look again. There's a number missing in your model #,a B&S model # has 6 numbers to it.I think that should read 402707.If it is the right number then your carb. overhaul kit is 394502

TIP:Spray carb.cleaner is good for cleaning off where you can see the numbers too.If you still can't see them paint numbers with white paint an than wipe it off with a rag.Numbers will stand out then.

I reread the number last night and you are right I forgot the 7. I got the rebuild kit and will rebuild the carb tonight.

Does anybody know of any websites that have PDF files of B&S repair manuals, especially manual# 271172?
