Won't Idle

Ok, have a 3.5 hp Classic Briggs, I have replaced the sparkplug and airfilter. I can not get it to idle right, there is no adjustments on the carb. What can I do to smooth it out?

Setting here trying to figure out what you mean "wont idle right" just two things comes to mind. The bottom housing of your air filter might be bent a little cousing the throttle shaft on the carb. to drag/stick.If not try soaking the carb in chem-dip for 20-30 minutes, hose off,dry with compressed air and replace diaphragm kit with B&S#495770.If that still dosn't work right, replace the plastic carburetor
