trimmer line and SAE 30

Does the brand of trimmer line or lawn mower oil matter? I have a 16HP Toro and I don't konw whether the more expensive brands are worth more.

Hello RXIS!

Trimmer line varies greatly in price and quality. If you are not using the trimmer against any hard surfaces that would wear out the line quickly, then the cheaper line should be fine.

On the oil subject...a topic of great debate. The overall summary of most of the debates I have seen is that most oils are adequate, and outstanding results can be achieved even with cheaper oil....just make sure it meets currect rating standards. The key is to change it often enough.
