Lawnmower problems

I have a Snapper series 22 rear engine riding lawnmower, I have to set the brake to start it, when I release the brake the mower dies. Can anyone tell me where to start to fix this problem. I would like to disable the saftey equipment if possible.

ronald,

i've never heard of that happening before. you may have a wiring problem.
as to how to disarm the safety switches it can be done but, can be dangerous. get a wiring diagram and check your to see if it's wired correctly.

good luck,

Hello Ronald!

If it dies when you release the clutch/brake, then you have a problem with the seat switch. Check to be sure it is plugged in tight.
