Had to dig out the old microfiche for this one. You have a Tecumseh model H60-75298H. This is an old dog probably used on a snowthrower or tiller I'd guess. I do know that it's definitely on a Craftsman machine (or at least the engine was originally installed on a Sears equipment).

Hey thanks, yes it is indeed on a snowblower from Sears, if ya look at my "Oil question" thread, you will see why i wanted to ID the engine, mainly the year.
so can ya tell me what H60-75298H translates into? I assume H6 is horsepower as it is a 6 hp. I thought 78?

The first digit of the serial number will tell you the year. It will not, however, tell you the decade, you will have to guess at this. Based on the model number (which includes an "H") though, I'd say it will be an '80's vintage machine. In other words, if the first digit of the serial is a 3 then it would be a 1983.
