Craftsman Engine engage lever

My neighbor gave me his craftsmen mower which is missing a wheel, but i've already replaced that. It is also missing the engine engage lever. I can't seem to find that any where. Does anybody know where i can find it? The model # is 917. 387610 and the ser. # 073002M 087572. I haven't tried to fire it up cause our lawnboy is 2 cycle not a 4 so you guys might be hearing more about this mower. Thankz

The part you are inquireing about are still available from www3.sears.com. The parts are less then $20.00 and with tax and shipping they will be about $30.00.

this is how i do some of my craftsman. pry break open. set it open by improvising. use full choke. screwdriver as ground against blower housing, or use piece of wood to knock off plug wire. i mowed 3 yards today doing this. save yourself the 20 bucks.
