Snapper wont move

I have an 1988 model Snapper lawnmower was running great, I stopped and when I started to go again that was all she wrote, the wheels are sort of locked , but when you stand it upright the wheels turn freely also the clutch smelled a lillte but looks to be ok have you any suggestions, thanks Tony Roberts

Hello Tony!

With it standing upright, try turning the driven disk (clutch disk)with it pulled away from the drive disk, but not so far that the brake engages. If it doesn't turn, check the brake. It may be stuck/wedged in place. If not, you have tranny problems.
