engine seal replacement?

I have a 14 HP Kohler engine in an Ariens GT that started leaking oil.

I tore down the front end and found that the oil comes from around the front shaft that runs the front PTO on the tractor. The oil does not leak when the tractor sits, only when the engine runs. Then it just dribbles out of the botton of that seal.

How do I remove and replace the seal? (it actually looks like it's cracked)

Thanks.

HB

Hello hb2u!

Remove the PTO pulley, get a seal puller and pull the seal. Then slip the new one on and carefully drive it on flush. Don't scratch the crankshaft!
