Engine ID

Can anybody tell me where the engine model no. and serial no are
located on a 8 HP Tecumseh snow king engine? Looked all over the
exterior of the engine, no luck. They tell me I need it for a carb
rebuild kit. I thought the carbs were all the same on those engines.

Thanks in advance

Look on the blower housing for a label or stamped #s.

Depending on the age of the motor, it may start with H80 or HM80, or HMSK80
and then be followed by a series of numbers which is the type number and then the serial number.
I believe that it is usually stamped on the housing like Cheese said but check right on the top where I bet your electric starter button is bolted on.
