Smile Sears Craftsman Mower Manual

We need a manual for an older craftsman riding mower. We've tired Sears but say it's out of print.
Wondered if someone out there has one and would copy it for us. We'll gladly pay!
model#502-255641 I think manual # is F-7517
Also need manual for Radial arm saw. Craftsman Model#113-197250
Thanks for any help ahead of time.

Both model #'s yeilded results at this sears web site http://www3.sears.com/
Both owners manual and parts breakdown can be viewed and printed here. Your engine is a Tecumseh 10HP 143.356042. A full service manual is here http://www.cpdonline.com/692509.pdf
If possible save this or burn to CD.
Please make check payable to.....JUST KIDDING

Hope that helps...Happy tinkering

More Craftsman mower help

Thanx for the mower engine manual. I also need a manual on the mower itself. I installed a clutch but having problems with adjusting it. Mower is 30" with 4 speeds and one reverse, I think. It seemed to shift ok for a while and now not at all. I didn't expect so much trouble getting a manual from Sears when I picked up the mower. S6

I have not been able to find Craftsman manuals online. They do have most of them listed with the parts and sell them for $5.99. Some are as they say "Out of Print" as in your case.
You can still view and print the parts diagram and list at the sears site I posted, the diagram and some common sense mechanical skills will get you through most mechanical repairs.
In the case of your clutch, Its simply an idler pulley on an arm held by a spring, when you depress the clutch pedal, it overides the spring holding the pulley against the belt, allowing the belt to slip.
If the belt is good and the spring is holding the pulley tight enough to turn the belt, the problem is probably in your drive unit. From the parts list they call it a disc drive, and I am not familiar with it that I know of.

I am sure some one can help with that tho....
Good luck
