Echo power source problem

Hi, im new

Ive got an echo power source(the thing that powers the attachments) and for some reason it makes a loud rattling sound when idleing but dosent sound as bad when you throtle up. Ive checked for loose screws so i'm thinking it is coming from the engine. Its an older model i'd say 1994-1998. Any ideas on the problem? It dosent affect the performance any but I want it fixed anyway.

thanks

A loose muffler or clutch is a common source of rattles in string trimmers.
