Question Honda gc135 blown head

Greetings. A friend gave me an older pressure washer he said didn't work. He said it was running fine and then he heard a load pop and thought a piece of metal flew off. Right by the spark plug, there is a hole in the head about the size of a dime. It's a Honda GC series 4 hsp OHC motor. I need to know what might cause this to happen and is it reasonable to assume there is more wrong than just this hole. I would also like to know if this is a common problem with this motor. Where would I find a replacement head? I am new to small engine repair but feel I can fix almost anything with some guidance. Thanks for your time and considerations.

There's no way of knowing what kind of damage there might be until you pull the head. My guess is that it dropped a valve and the piston knocked it into the head from the inside...busting out a chunk of it. The whole engine could be toast, or it might just need another head. Only a look will tell.
