LawnBoy won't run
I have a 3 yr old Lawnboy 2 cycle silverPro commercial 6.5 Hp mower. Was running fine and just stopped. I checked spark and compression(thumb over plug hole) and both seemed ok.Fuel line from tank to card is not plugged. Wanted to check to see if the exhaust port was clogged. It appears that the muffler is welded to the block. Cant figure how to check this. Any idea on this or what else I should be checking.

Was it running when it stopped or...? If you have spark, try putting a few drops of gas in the carb, if it fires its fuel prob, if it doesnt start and you do have spark, It sounds like you may need to check your shear key.
See what the bottle feed does anything for ya, if not let us know.
I don't think your muffler is a concern yet anyway, they are mostly an issue on 2 cycle engines where gas and oil are mixed.

Thanks for the reply Azis. As stated before this is a 2 cycle engineand it was running when it sputtered and stopped. I checked the shear pin and its fine. I had previously tried to get it to fire by squirting starting fluid in carb and also put few drops in cylinder( removed plug) Couldn't get it to turn over. Only other thing I could think of was plugged exhaust port.
