New Husky blower gas everywhere

Fairly new husqvarna blower-literally run twice. Pressing the priming bulb creates a flood of gas/oil mix into the carb space and out various openings on the engine housing.

Engine will crank when choked, pulled, unchoked and pulled. Runs idle for a few seconds then dies. If I try to open the throttle it dies quickly. Won't restart unless I pump the primer bulb again.

Gas was emptied and refilled. Gas can is always filled/mixed with Stabil.

Seems like priming it puts gas in carb but then the thing starves for fuel. Too new to have a clogged intake screen or such.

Bigges concern is the flood of gas. Hoses appear to be intact.

Any thoughts?

Hello Sandfeet53!

My guess is the blower sat for quite a while with gas in it. The carburetor is now gummed up. Disassembly and cleaning of the carb is required.

Thanks. I suspect I'll do the carb teardown and kit but the thing is new. Got it about August. Used it a couple of times. Strange it would stale up so quickly.

It's right relaxing to tear one down so I'll do a carb overhaul.

Since August (of this year) shouldn't be a problem, but it's possible. If the fuel is shooting right into the carb, then it's the carb though. That, or the fuel lines have gotten reversed somehow.
