Honda Mower Drive Belt Replacement

My son & I have tried to replace the drive belt on my Honda Harmony II HRT216KTDA self-propelled mower. I purchased a Murray 37 x 84 belt on the advice of the Home Depot Sales Assoc. who said "he thought the belts were interchangeable." Is this the correct belt? I could find nothing in the Owner's Manual giving the spec's. We have tried aligning the belt first as well as the spring first but all we're getting are more cuts on my son's knuckles. (I know, better his than mine!) Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Marie

Hello Marie!

I ahve no idea why they would have sold you a murray belt to go on a honda mower. They have nothing in common. I would find a honda dealer and get the correct belt, or remove the old one and match it with an aftermarket belt (if one is to be found).

Cheese,

Thank you so much for your reply. I'll try to locate the correct drive belt.
