Question Tecu. Carb Leaking - SNOW COMING

I have a MTD snowblower (HSK600-16275) that is leaking gas from the carb and I have not been able to find an exploded view of it to compare.

My gas line from tank to carb is fine.
My primer line to carb is fine.

There is a very small diameter (1/16) open brass tube (about 3/8 long) just in front of the gas line where the gas is leaking out. I am not able to determine if it was just capped or what, but it will drain the tank if not fixed.

Any help appreciated, we have 6-10 inches of snow on the way!

You have 2 things to look at here, first is the float, if is not working properly, you will have improper float levels which can cause gas to leak. By not working properly I mean it may have a hole in it and fill up with fuel and not regulate the fuel the way it's supposed to. The other is the atmospheric vent hole which is located just above the primer fitting. If it is plugged, then it won't equalize to atmosphere and cause the gas to continue to run. This hole is usually tiny but some tag wire will be able to poke it clean.
Let me know if this helps.
