Craftsman / Tecumseh cross reference?

I have a Craftsman Snow Thrower, Model 536.881113. It's approximately 3 years old. It's 30 inches wide, and has an 11HP Tecumseh engine. The Craftsman part number for the engine is 143.031101. (view engine diagram at http://************/685yh ).

I'd like to determine the Tecumseh model number, for purposes of learning more about the engine. Specifically, I'd like to try to obtain the technical manual for the engine, as well as be able to order replacement parts without having to rely exclusively on Sears.

Thanks....

-Joe

Part #900 in the diagram lists the Tecumseh short block part number. That part cross references to an HMSK100, HMSK105, or HMSK110. Since you know its an 11HP engine, then the Tecumseh model number is HMSK110 (which is a Medium Frame, Horizontal Snow King 11HP engine).

As far as parts are concerned, the Part Number column on the Sears listing actually lists the Tecumseh part numbers, so you can pretty much find them anywhere Tecumseh parts are sold, referring to those listed part numbers.

EDIT: drop me an email at chrishmm69@yahoo.com I have a copy of the service manual for the engine.

Good luck!!
