Craftsman electric powerwasher

Craftsman electric powerwasher

I recently purchased a sears craftsman electric 1750 psi powerwasher. It will work if i use a short extension cord but when i use a 100 ft. cord it won't turn on...any ideas

When you say it doesn't turn on, do you mean it doesn't even hum? If so, the ext cord is bad. If it makes a humming sound , the ext cord isn't heavy enough. You probably need a cord with 12 gauge or even 10 gauge wires in it. The owners manual probably tells you what size ext cord is needed for 100' length.

Thanks for your reply Mike. I guess I knew the answer to this. I will have to invest in a heavy duty extension cord.
