36 Volt Cordless Mowers - Gone Forever?

When I was a kid I realized that I would
probably be using gas powered mowers for
rest of my life. I learned all the maintenance
procedures, including how to strip and
rebuilt almost any Briggs mower engine.
The funny thing is I never liked any of it.

In the last few years I've used battery powered
shop and garden tools. As long as they have
enough power they're unbeatable. Virtually
no maintenance, they run quiet, don't stink or
run hot as hell and are blissfully clean!
Meaning you don't have drown all the parts in
some solvent to remove oil, gum, varnish, etc.

Sadly, the manufacturers of walk behind mowers
have dumped their more powerful battery powered
models. It seems like B & D is the only one left
making a 24 volt push mower. From what I've
read and heard about this model its under powered.

Is there anybody out there making a 36 volt mower
that provides enough power to cut larger size
lawns without having to replace the battery in
the middle of the job?

Hello Rewinder,

Unfortunately, I have no idea. I have no expertise with electric mowers. Maybe a google search will help turn up some info.
