How do you get the clutch assembly off to fix the starter rope?

clutch

Hole in the end of the clutch housing where the cable slides in has a # 20 torx screw in there.

Pull the spark plug, stuff some rewind starter rope in the plug hole, use a water pump pliers and turn off the clutch plate(s). NOTE: curved shaft trimmer will be a standard right-hand thread, straight shaft will be a left-hand thread.
