Sears lawn tractor problem

I have a 12hp 38" Craftsman lawn tractor. Was mowing today and the blades disengaged. Normal cutting, no binding...etc. It has an electronic clutch for engaging the blades. I looked at the wiring and don't see an obvious defect. Any ideas? How much does a clutch cost? Thanks...

Not familiar with elec clutch, but I would get a test lite and check for power at clutch also check power thru clutch ground wire if it has one. If no power at clutch, start checking power wire back to switch.
Hope this helps,
Mike

Hello Greg!

I agree, check for power at the clutch first. If the seat switch is bad, or disconnected, the clutch may also be disabled. A new clutch can run from $150 to $280, depending on model.
