Honda Lawnmower

My relatively new Honda lawnmower has been acting up lately. It cannot rev as high as it used to. It also fluctuates from high to low, causing it not to effectively cut the grass, spitting up clumps of it. It seems as though it is built in such a way that you cannot make the neccessary adjustments to the carb as you would have been able to with an older piece of equiptment.
Is there a way to correct this problem without having to take it in for an expensive tune-up?

Hello mozeydozey!

Sounds to me like there is either water or trash in the carburetor. Remove the bowl and see what's in there...clean it out. If that doesn't do it, a more thorough cleaning may be needed.
