i was wondering if it was possible to change a lawnmower vertical shaft to horizontal...?

if it is possible does anyone know how to do it on a b&s 4 stroke

Do you mean you want to take a vertical shaft engine and mount it so that it's horizontal? If so, then the answer is no. The oil sump will be on the side of the engine if mounted horizontal and the engine won't get oiled and will fail. Not to mention if it were possible, the carburetion would have to be engineered differently so the carb would remain upright.
