Gas leaking from trimmer

Hello. I have a Craftsman trimmer. It is leaking gas from the hoses that go into the tank. I replaced the hoses and it is still leaking. Not sure what to do at this point. Are there different sizes of hose? Do hoses shrink over time? Is there something that secures the hoses into the tank and gives them a secure seal with the tank? I thought about putting some type of sealant where the hose meets the tank, but I'm not sure which sealant would work and I don't want to use a sealant that would be dangerous. Thanks, Babbabooey

There are different size hoses. Sounds like either yours are too small, or the holes in the tank have been damaged/distorted.
