Pull Cord advice

I just broke the pull cord to my Ryobi 31cc Trimmer Plus (720R) and wanted to know if this is an easy fix and if so what are the steps. thanks

Hello Toadles!

I don't work on many Ryobis, but generally you remove the shaft, remove the screws that hold the rope recoil assembly and housing, and remove it, wind up the spool, install new rope, and let the spool wind the rope back in. If yours has a clutch, you'll have to remove that before the housing will come off.
