chainsaw runs bad

chainsaw runs bad

My skil chain saw will idle a little ruff but when you give it gas it revs up and wants to die and will if you dont let off the gas. Did anyone have this problem before who can help? Id like to get it going again. Thanks for everyones help.

There are 2 screws side-by-side on the carb. Loosen the one closest to the air filter about 1/4 to 1/2 turn and see what happens.

skill chain saw runs bad

should i run the saw idle or with some throttle when adjusting this screw.

Doesn't matter. If it runs better with the screw backed out a bit, it can be fine tuned from there.
