Replace Karcher inlet piece

I broke the garden hose inlet to my Karcher 395M

I got a new piece and am perplexed how to install it.

The 395M is similar to the 390M for which an exploded assembly view is provided at:

I am having a hard time getting the black plastic part (#25) out of the aluminum housing (#26). I tried boiling water to expand the aluminum but no luck. Any ideas?

I've never worked on one of those, but it looks like if all the parts have been removed from the housing, the two should slip apart. If not, you might have to just work with it a bit. Some pressure wahser parts are very hard to disassemble with the calcium buildup that gets stuck in there.
