techcumseh no spark

Lightbulb techcumseh no spark

was cutting grass put it in reverse let up on clutch lost power
checked switches seat, blade ,ext but no spark
getting gas and starter is good 12.5 techcumseh vert shaft it cranks
and oil is full help craftsman lawn mower rider

Try unplugging the kill wire to the coil and check for spark. This will isolate the problem to either the coil or the mower elec. system. If you still get no spark, then the coil or spark plug is bad.

ok i will try that is that right on the coil a single wire i never worked on a techcumseh before i pulled the mag off and cleaned every thing
didnt notice any condencers or anything like that i will get back later
after i try that

found spark

ok i tried that now im getting a week spark ill go put a plug in it
and clean the connectors on the coil and let you know

fixed

Thanks very much ended being coil
replaced fixed oil leak it runs better than it ever did
sorry it took so long im handycaped and the hot weather slowed me
down i have breathing problems
but it felt good getting my hands dirty with me being sick
i dont get to work on things very much like i used to
so i was ok thanks again
now i have a new chalange im goint to post that one in a few
