Need Lawn Boy Mower Assistance
I have a Lawn Boy mower that may need some maintenance done to it. First, underneath the mower, it seems like a lot of old junk is stuck on it and needs to be cleaned. I want to know the best way of cleaning underneath the mower, second, the last couple of times I used the mower, it seems like the mower would choke out when I start it up the first couple of times, then ran ok. Sometimes when mowing the grass, it will try to die on me. I know gas level is ok when it happens. It also smoked a couple times too when this happened. I know it needs new oil because the level is below the add line. What could be the problem with my mower?

To clean the underneath of the deck, the best way is to raise the entire unit to a level u can access the underside keeping it level.
The unit can be "tipped" not layed over, leaning it towards the oil fill/dipstick.
If the fill tube is at the rear of the engine, lift the front of the deck, if on one side, lift from the opposite side.
The other issue sounds like a fuel problem. If you have a fuel filter check or change it. Check the fuel tank for debris and clean as required. Check fuel lines for kinks cracks etc. If all checks good then it is possible some debris has entered the carb and may need cleaning.
