peerless hydrostatic transaxel

can anyone tell me what kind of oil to use in the pump side of this tranzaxel

peerless vst model# 205-024c

Not sure what it actually calls for, but I have had success using john deere Hyguard oil.

I have not seen where ne was called for other than the specific manufactures brand lubes.
I was infomed by a local shop that some do call for 20/50 motor oil, and that is what they use to service them.

sears uses 20/50 synthetic where I am
