Dying Lawn Mower Engine
#1
Last year I purchased a Toro 6hp walk behind lawn mower. When I first started using the mower, the engine sounded very strong (if that makes sense. Whe I start the mower now, the engine seems to have slowed done considerably. What do you thing may be the problem?

Most likely causes:
Stale fuel. <Use fresh gas>
Restricted fuel flow. <Check for a fuel filter. Clean or replace it if it has one.>
Restricted air filter. <Clean or replace as needed.>
Choke. <Not fully opened. Adjust throttle cable as needed.>
Throttle cable. <Slipped loss from clamps. Adjust then Tighten as needed.>
Drive belt drag. <Clean area around pulley's and adjust cable and belt tension as needed.>
Any of the above could be causing this type problem. If nothing is in need of adjustment, needs cleaning or replacement, return mower or take it to a local Toro dealer.
A one year old mower may be still be under warranty.
