Craftsman 20" 46cc Chainsaw - Oiling Problem

I have this saw that has never worked correctly out of the box. In fact my neighbor's wife bought him one when my wife bought mine. Niether saw has been worth the cardboard box it came in. The problem is the bar/chain oiling system. It just doesn't oil enough when it's operating. I've only cut up four trees and have been through 3 chains. It does, however, pour oil out of in when it's off; not the preferred order. The local Sears said they had some issues with these and would gladly fix it for me for $80. I couldn't change it in because it was after the 90 day return window before I used it. Is there anyone out there that has heard of this problem and has some ideas on how to fix it?

Doesn't the saw have a warranty? Or has it been that long?

I don't know what the issue is with that saw...I don't work on many craftsman/poulan saws. Maybe someone here has addressed this problem before and can give you some advice.
