I've changed the plug,the in-tank fuel filter,the air filter,got all new fuel mixture with sthil 2-cycle oil,and though it idles fine,it will not accelerate to blowing rpm.Could it be the muffler?The screen is clear.Help.wg

The carburetor is probably in need of cleaning. I'd take it apart and give it a workover with some automotive carb cleaner and see how it does. You could try backing out the high speed mixture screw a little first and see how that does. (its the screw closest to the air filter of the two).

BR400 Sthil fix

The carb jet had a tiny speck of trash lodged against it.Thanks,Cheese.
