Husqvarna Chainsaw

I am rebuilding a Husqvarna 288xp Chain Saw. I am having trouble pulling the flywheel. It won't come off.

I have a parts manual but could use a shop manual. Does anyone know where I can download one.

I would like to know if there are any after market parts dealers about.

Thanks Yukon Don

so you've removed all thats would be holding it on? well you'll have to pry on it some, with a flat head screw driver. be carefull when you do. turn it around, prying it up in opposite positions on it.

I don't suggest prying under the flywheel as it will likely break. Remove the flywheel nut and washers, thread the nut back on until just flush with the end of the crankshaft, use two standard pliers holding onto opposite flywheel fins and lifting the saw just off your workbench, have a second person use a heavy hammer and brass punch and whack the flywheel nut (squarely, so as not to damage anything) and you should be good to go. By the way, why are you trying to remove the 'wheel? The only reason you should be is to replace the seal.
