briggs 8 hp carb prob

briggs 8 hp carb prob

hello
i have an 8 hp briggs on a lawn tractor.
the carb slowly leaks gas from the air intake when its running and also when its off. i cleaned the carb and changed the gaskets but it still leaks gas.
thanks, any advice would be appreciated

check the float for heaviness, or sloshing fuel, if it is, that will sink, letting fuel by, then check to make sure its not sticking, inlet needle is doing its job, the little needle can get worn, letting fuel by, or the needle seat can start to leak. were these replaced? also check the oil for a gas smell, and change it if it does.

Thanks For The Help...the Float Was Indeed Filles With Gas. I Replaced The Float Which Solved The Problem Thanks Again
