Question Stihl FS 80 Carb problems

I have a FS 80AV Lawn trimmer that I cant keep running. It is an older model. It has a TK carb 2G10N(on the side of the carb) It will only run if I keep pushing the green button on the bottom of the carb. I have cleaned it, put new fuel lines on it, new mixture of gas and oil(amsoil). When I take the bottom cover off (were the green button is) the gas flow valve is shut and when I push the green button it opens the valve that is the only way the engine gets enough gas to run.How do I set the valve to stay open so I can at least get it to idle?
I am going to get a carb kit to see if that helps.
Thanks for any help.

Hopefully someone here with some experience with that carb will chime in soon. I am not familiar with it. I would suspect a carb kit would help, and there's a good chance that pressure fluctuations from the crankcase operate the fuel inlet valve via a diaphragm? If so, a rebuild kit should help there.
